Following from our last Blog about making an impact though starting a business we have accompanied it with this.
In my opinion a successful business is a direct reflection of the owner and the team!
Starting a business is not just a means to make a difference in the world, but it can also be the ultimate self-improvement tool. When you take on the challenge of building a successful enterprise, you will inevitably grow and develop as a person. Here are a few reasons why starting a business can be the ultimate self-improvement tool.
Starting a business requires you to learn new skills and knowledge that you may not have had before. This could include marketing, finance, sales, and management, among others. By taking on these new challenges, you can expand your skill set and knowledge base, which can be valuable in both your personal and professional life.
Believe it or not before I started the business I had a love for coffee but did not have a clue how to truly make high quality barista coffee. I self taught myself from reading books and watching youtube videos along with a lot of practice in private.
Entrepreneurship is not easy, and starting a business comes with its fair share of challenges and setbacks. However, by persevering through these obstacles, you can build resilience and persistence. These qualities can be useful in all aspects of your life, as they will help you overcome obstacles and persevere through difficult times.
I am currently writing a book on the similarities between endurance events can help in business a lot has to do with gritting your teeth during the hard times. The first time you quit is always the hardest. It gets easier after that. Do not make quitting a habit.
As a business owner, you will have to manage your time effectively and stay organised to keep your enterprise running smoothly. This means setting priorities, managing your schedule, and delegating tasks as needed. By honing these skills, you can improve your time management and organisation in all areas of your life.
A company is also called an organisation. As the famous quote goes. No wind is favourable to the sailer with no destination.
As the owner of a business, you are also a leader. This means you must learn how to motivate and manage your team effectively, communicate your vision, and make tough decisions. By developing your leadership skills, you can become a more effective leader in all areas of your life.
You can not make it through this life alone. You have to become apart of or create a team to help you succeed. First learn how to lead yourself through learning, discipline and example and watch your team follow and grow themselves.
Starting a business can be a transformative experience that can increase your confidence and self-awareness. As you take on new challenges, learn new skills, and overcome obstacles, you will develop a stronger sense of self and a belief in your abilities. This newfound confidence can be useful in all aspects of your life.
Confidence and competence go hand in hand, and they are two of the most essential traits for success in any endeavor. Without confidence, even the most skilled and competent person may not achieve their full potential. On the other hand, confidence without competence is merely arrogance. True confidence comes from having the skills, knowledge, and experience to back it up. When you are confident in your abilities, you are more likely to take risks, push yourself to new heights, and achieve great things. So, work hard to develop your skills and knowledge, and let your confidence shine through. With confidence and competence, you can conquer anything that comes your way.
In conclusion, starting a business is not just a means to make a difference in the world, but it can also be the ultimate self-improvement tool. By developing new skills and knowledge, building resilience and persistence, improving time management and organisation, developing leadership skills, and gaining confidence and self-awareness, you can grow and develop as a person in ways you may never have thought possible.
]]>Starting a business is one of the most effective ways to impact the world in a positive way. By creating a successful enterprise, you have the opportunity to improve the lives of your customers, employees, and society as a whole. Here are a few reasons why starting a business can be the best way you can make a difference in the world.
Starting a business means creating jobs, which is crucial for the economy. As an employer, you have the opportunity to provide employment opportunities to individuals who may not have otherwise been able to secure a job. By doing so, you not only help to reduce unemployment but also contribute to the overall economic growth of your community.
Here at cuffed-in coffee we decided to set up in our home town of Holyhead as we knew jobs needed to be created. To date we now have 7 employees. 1 of Which has secured a mortgage and is now a homeowner. All this might not have happened had we chose to not start the business.
Starting a business is an opportunity to solve problems and improve the lives of your customers. When you create a product or service that meets the needs of your target audience, you make their lives easier and more enjoyable. For example, a new technology product can make everyday tasks more efficient or a service that simplifies complicated processes can reduce stress and anxiety. By improving the lives of others, you make a positive impact on society.
We noticed the lack of drive and passion for our lovely community in Holyhead. That is why we decided to set up here. To solve the problem of the lack of meaning by pushing our company ethos into the community. Drink Coffee, Seek Adventure and Enjoy Life.
As a business owner, you have the opportunity to support social causes and give back to your community. By using your business as a platform to raise awareness or funds for a cause, you can make a significant impact. Whether it’s through donating a portion of profits to a charity, hosting events to raise awareness, or volunteering time and resources, businesses have a unique opportunity to make a difference beyond their products and services.
We have hosted a warm space program to help people during the cost of living crisis. We have set up a youth night alongside the youth service program for Anglesey. Giving the young adults of Holyhead a space where they can hang out and be treated like the young Adults they are. We are now also starting introduction to coffee course. Teaching unemployed young people about the coffee industry from roasting, customer service and barista skills.
Entrepreneurship and innovation go hand in hand. When you start a business, you have the opportunity to create something new and disrupt the status quo. By pushing boundaries and challenging traditional methods, you can drive progress and create change. This can have a ripple effect, as your business inspires others to innovate and make a difference in their own communities.
We set the business up with the aim to improve our community. We have set up a successful model with Mon CF a local employability centre where they buy local property and renovate to a high standard giving local business that head start with a professional looking property.
As a successful entrepreneur, you can inspire others to follow in your footsteps and make a difference in their own way. By sharing your story and experiences, you can motivate and empower others to pursue their own dreams and make a positive impact in the world. This can have a far-reaching impact, as the ideas and values you promote through your business can inspire a generation of change-makers.
We cannot say that directly we have contributed to more business' deciding to set up in Holyhead but there has been and increase in the entrepreneurial spirit in Holyhead. I as the founder have done multiple school talks and am in the process of becoming a Big Ideas role model with the welsh government.
In conclusion, starting a business is an effective way to make a positive impact in the world. By creating jobs, solving problems, supporting social causes, driving innovation, and inspiring others, you have the opportunity to create a ripple effect that can change the world for the better. So if you have an idea and a passion for making a difference, don't be afraid to take the leap and start your own business.
And do not be afraid to reach out to us. We stand by the fact we want to Holyhead grow. So if there is any advice or help we can give we would be more than happy to help.

]]>Here at Cuffed-in Coffee we have managed to create a successful coffee shop in a small quiet town where many people did not think it would be viable.
3 years later we have the Accolade of High Street Start Up Of The Year, with the Start Up Awards National Series. We are also finalists in the Food & Drink Category of The Great British Entrepreneur Awards.
In this Article we are going give you our quick top tips for running a successful Coffee Shop.
1- Location & Rent
Coffee Shops are a place to work socialise and grab a quick cup of coffee to go. You want to find a location where there will be a lot of footfall. For example a high street. Business professionals love coffee and use it as fuel. Finding a spot near offices and Schools/Universities is the go to.
Consider the footfall you will get and then decide what rent you are willing to pay. Do not be afraid to negotiate rent. If the numbers are too high you will set yourself up for failure. A rough guide would be 6% of revenue. So if you anticipate annual sales of £100,000 you should be aiming to pay £6000 per year for rent.
Parking and ease of access also make a huge impact on whether people will visit your place.
2 - Serve High Quality and Local Produce
As a business we have a duty to look after our community. Coffee really is on the rise and people are looking for that coffee that stands out. Having top quality speciality will set you apart from most coffee shops/cafes. Using as many local businesses will keep money in the local economy and shows that you want to help the community and not just profit from them.
3- Get Barista Training
People think it is a simple task to make coffee. Let me assure you. It is NOT.
Without proper barista training you can serve substandard coffee even with a premium product. Under/Over extraction of coffee completely ruins the coffee.
It does not do the coffee justice to ruin it at the final step. Customers will always return if you serve a good cup of coffee.
4- Create a Special Place
Getting the music right the furniture right and the decor right along with adequate plug sockets for charging and free Wi-Fi will create a space that people want to be in a place where they know they can relax or get some work done. Please look at our other blog post "The Third Place" for an in depth explanation of this.
5- Provide Great Service
This is an obvious one that starts with you we are people if you are not happy then you cannot make other people happy we always try to remember all customers names and orders ask them how their day is going and even offer a listening ear it is a privilege to work in an amazing space with an amazing team and a vision share this with your customers and watch them return.
6- Know your Numbers
It is all well and dandy to have all the above points in check. BUT if you do not manage your numbers, you will most likely fail. Set up a business plan before starting. This is a topic I want to dive in deeper with but for this blog I will keep it short. I always like to know my Minimum Daily target. This keeps you on track daily and stops you burying your head in the sand. Heres how I do it below.
If you liked this post please like comment and share. We are moving into wholesale business to business. We want to help other business' to become successful.
If you are looking for a new Coffee Supplier then look no further. We will provide you with all the tools to succeed.

The purpose of prison is to rehabilitate. To make the person who went in come out a better person.
So to be cuffed-in you have to give yourself regular wake up and bed time, hold yourself accountable, exercise, work, study, enjoy leisure, speak to loved ones and get outside in nature.
In the western world today, we are facing a crisis of meaning. Nobody knows what to do with their lives. We are facing a mental health crisis with record levels of anxiety, depression and mental illness. We are facing a health crisis with more people dying from eating too much food than there are people starving (which is the first time in our known history).
Being Cuffed-in is as The Author Jordan Peterson wrote is an antidote to chaos. By living with integrity, discipline and compassion we can live our lives to the fullest capacity and reach our potentials.
Our motto “drink coffee, seek adventure, enjoy life” encompasses what our business is about. Serving the best coffee, inspiring adventure and enjoying a life filled with purpose and passion.

]]>"To practice any art, no matter how well or badly, is a way to make your soul grow. So do it." - Kurt Vonnegut
Creativity is what turns your imagination into reality. How you see the world is your own creative mind constructing your view of the world. Believe it or not your views of the world are YOURS uniquely. You will have had influence but ultimately it is your own imagination that is your reality.
When you get creative you start to question things. "Why is this done that way? Can I not do it differently?" The answer to these questions can be infinite hence why it is important to use your own creativity to come up with your own answers.
The more creative you become the more you truly understand yourself. You begin to understand and realise you are unique and have something different to offer the world that no on else can. You start to find out things about yourself that not even you knew to begin with.
Once you start to understand who you truly are your confidence starts to build. You become less influenced as you come up with your own conclusions. You can take information onboard and use it how you wish.
Creativity is flow. It gets your full attention and the menial worries of life start to melt away. Once you can be fully present and listen to your own mind you start to let the ideas start to flow.
When you are true to your own creativity it builds a certain resilience. You have created what you want in your mind you can see it so you start to put the work in. Life does deal you things that you can not control but what creativity does is allow you keep navigating. Life isn't a straight road. Sometimes you hit a road block, sometimes you need to climb over a mountain. That same creativity that got you to make the first few steps will allow you take further steps around or over problems.
Get creative!! It is fun, challenging, rewarding and progressive. How life should be.

]]>We spend most of our lives at Home (First Place) or Work (Second Place). The Third place is somewhere you feel you belong that is outside of your home or workspace.
With the current Pandemic the need for a Third place is now more important than ever. The Third Place is usually in a public setting which is a place for informal social gatherings. A prime example (cough) a Coffee Shop.
The Third Place, a place where you can smell the coffee, socialise and relax.
The Third Place is somewhere you can come and go as you please. Somewhere you will be greeted with a warm welcome each and every time regardless of your regularity.
The Third Place does not discriminate. It should welcome anyone and everyone. It doesn't matter where you are from, what you do for a living or what interests you have. Everyone is welcome all the same.
Conversation is encouraged. It is a social environment where people meet friends or chat to the barista. Anything from Coffee, exercise or the universe. Whatever is on your mind you are free to speak without judgement.
The Third Place is somewhere you can easily commute to, by either walking or a short drive. There are regulars you visit often, they are what makes the place what it is. It should also be very homely, you should feel as if you are in your friends living room or kitchen.
The Third place is somewhere that gets you out of the house. It might be the only reason to leave your home with all the responsibilities and technology in the home it is becoming increasingly easy to just stay home. It is a place where you can switch off and relax. Humans will always need Human Connection. It doesn't matter how much technology improves it can not substitue physical presence.
It is a very lonely time to be a human. Over a third of britons are lonely. Loneliness has to been linked to increased ageing, a weakened immune system and overall reduction in lifespan. If you research blue zones (areas where there are a large proportion of healthy centarians) they rank a solid social community as one of the major factors.
So to conclude. In my humble opinion it is one of the most important aspects in todays society. As soon as you enter the senses are alive from the smell the warm welcome and friendly atmosphere. Its a place you can let your guard down, relax and feel apart of something bigger than yourself.

]]>It has been just over a year since I incorporated Cuffed-in Coffee LTD, which was in march 2019. Since I made my first sale it has almost been a year so I think it is a good time to reflect.
They always say that the first year of business is always the hardest and I would have to agree. Even with all the guidance and support it can be a hard and lonely time.
The first 3 months was a dream. No stress, just the enjoyment of making your vision a reality. I secured funding which then allowed me to source and build 'big beasty' from a horse-box to a mobile coffee shop. At this time I was still working so I had the guaranteed income safety.
Near the end of the build I decided to quit my job and dive into the business head first. Almost instantly after I made this decision a few unforeseen circumstances and errors on my behalf cost me financially and for the time frame of opening before summer.
After those few hurdles out the way I again threw myself into the deep end and my first day of trading was apart of the Holyhead Festival. No soft opening there. I made it through unscathed and actually made a good amount of money for the weekend. I did run out of stock and had a little technical difficulty with the water pump but other than that it was a success. A huge shoutout here to Jordan Smith who helped me get the trailer to the festival and his help throughout the day.
The Monday after the festival I was due to start my regular trading on my pitch down on the beach. The day was windy and stop operations. At that point I knew that pitch was not going to work. As I was returning the trailer to storage the brakes failed on the trailer and the trolly jack collapsed too as the trailer was too heavy. This was a burden I couldn't afford.
This is where I went into panic mode and almost threw in the towel. If it wasn't for my friends and my Mentor at the time I think I would have started looking for another job haha.
I managed to arrange the repair for the trailer and eventually sourced a new pitch for the trailer which was in the industrial estate I am still at. I started trading there in September eventually.
The first couple of months were very stressful. Sales were low and the weather was still impacting trading due to the huge open hatch. I eventually sourced cakes from another local business, 'Georgias Bakeaway'. Huge shoutout to her, the cakes were an additional selling point as she was already pretty established and the cakes are to die for.
I did another event for the Bonfire Display and it was a huge success. Another big shoutout to 'Gareth Evans'. We smashed it out the park and must have sold easily over 150 cups of coffee and hot chocolate in just a couple of hours.
The weather throughout the winter was savage and ended up breaking the Hatch. I had to close for a couple of days and managed to find a company who custom made serving windows, shoutout the 'kellet windows' based in Leeds. They were super friendly and helpful with the design and it still looks good to the day.
Eventually I made it through the winter, sold a lot of coffee and was lucky to gain a lot of loyal customers which I am truly grateful for.
...And then Covid-19 came along and threw some more challenges my way. What the first year has taught me is that no matter what comes your way there is always a way out. With challenge there is growth.
A quality product and excellent customer service will make it hard for you to fail if you have the passion to keep at it.
Always surround yourself with good people, both professional and socially. If it wasn't for my family and friends, my business mentor and my accountants I don't think I would be where I am today.

]]>Cuffed in Coffee is a business venture that I started just over a year ago now. In this post I want to explain why I decided to venture into the difficult industry that is mobile catering. Following these posts I will take you through my process of how I got to where I am today.
First of all who doesn’t want to be their own boss. That was my primary driving factor for starting this business. Although I have been very fortunate with my employment I always had at the back of mind the urge to work for myself. When you are getting paid to stand on glaciers in Alaska, snorkel in the reefs of the untamed south pacific and chill on the beaches of the Caribbean and you still feel that there is something missing you know you’re not cut out for employment.
I do love to travel, I cannot hide the fact. I chose mobile catering as this gives you that freedom of essentially taking your business wherever you fancy. Obviously you do need to have jobs lined up or speak to local councils to get approval to trade but essentially you are free to do business where you please.
The flexibility of what you can sell is also huge. So whatever food or drink you are passionate about you can sell that which helps to increase customer confidence as they can feel your passion in the products.
If you’re into your festivals you can get a pitch in the festival and then in the evenings you are free to enjoy your time in a beautiful location and enjoying what makes you happy. After a successful day this will feel that much better.
There are many difficulties on the road though which is what I am going to share with you in future posts.
If you are interested in mobile catering do not be afraid to hit that contact page and shoot some questions at me.
I am not claiming to be a professional. I am just sharing my experience and where I made my mistakes and where I get those moments of pride.
Chase your dreams and do not settle.
]]>I am writing today as I am supposed to be trading in my beautiful coffee trailer but I am not.
The trailer was not safe to be on the road. The title of this blog is risk.
I am not afraid of risk which is why I am in this predicament today. I ignorantly thought that the trailer was fine to use. I would like to disclose more information but I will leave it as that.
Risk is good. Risk has got me this far in my journey to building a business for myself and the community.
There is a fine line though. There is a difference between calculated risk and reckless risk. Take for example the great Alex Honold. He climbs these crazy mountains free solo. There is a lot of risk involved as one wrong move will result in falling to his death. What makes it a calculated risk for Alex is the preparation he does prior to doing these crazy solo climbs. He plans and plans and spends hours and hours on ropes figuring out certain moves until he can confidently complete the course without any aid.
What makes risk reckless is a lack of preparation. You cannot disregard any factors that could affect the outcome.
I have been a little too confident and carless in my venture thus far and I am now paying the price… Literally. I have a lot of unexpected costs that could have been resolved before this point where I am now on a knife edge.
BUT on the other hand I don’t think I would have gotten this far without some of that carless risk. The question you should ask yourself is can you handle the consequences of failure if you do take those risks.
Do not be afraid to try…. Unless of course you’re going to solo El Capitan. I would advise against that.
I wish you all the best in your future endaevours.

Seek the struggle!
I have been having a tough couple of weeks here in France. I have been alone a lot recently. I am taking on tasks that I have not been confident about. It has gotten me down at points but now as I am writing this I feel proud of myself that I have stuck to my guns and slowly figured things out.
I have been struggling due to the lack of control I have been feeling. I have tasks to achieve and although I am achieving them in the process I have not felt confident before hand. When something is new it is uncomfortable, your mind has not experienced what you are about to attempt. This is the point where I freeze and have to think hard. This is where people look for help as they start to doubt themselves. I have thought about quitting, but then I tell myself that struggle is the catalyst for growth.
This is probably the first time I have been 1000 miles away from home on my own and accountable for the outcome. It truly has been a testing experience which I am now getting to grips with. I do not speak very good french and this affects my confidence but I am taking that as my responsibility and slowly learning the language.
A big help has been books and seeking great stoic minds on the likes of youtube. Reading and learning from people like Jordan Peterson has been such a great guidance for me. Knowing that chaos is inevitable and to counter the chaos you need to have meaning in order to combat the chaos.
Although the reading does help it simply can not help through the words alone. You have to seek the struggle, seek the uncomfortable and experience it for yourself and feel how powerful and overwhelming that can be on your psyche.
I am constantly trying to get out of my comfort zone and to be honest most of the time I regret it until I come out the other side and have more confidence in myself.
Seek the struggle and reap the rewards.
]]>I feel that today it is far too easy to give up. Live is portrayed as a perfect paradise when really it is not. When using social media people use it as a tool to market themselves. They only post the best parts of their lives because thats ultimately what people want to see and believe life is when in reality it is not.
I am guilty for this myself take for example my last post on my Facebook page. I wanted people to now that I was returning for a ski season in France where I will be living the high life.
What I did not mention was that I had been unemployed for 2 months and have recently got my old job as a professional dishwasher back for the next 2 months prior to departing. I also forgot to mention that I was living with my mum and stepdad. That I have been feeling very isolated as all my friends work away have family commitments and other important things that do not concern myself.
All of this is not easy to handle when you come from an easy life on ships when your biggest worry was how much alcohol I was going to consume that night. With good family and friends, a good yoga and running routine, attempting to set up a business and learning a new language. I have come through unscathed.
I could have used this lonely time to degrade myself to dwell on the negative but I chose to look positively at all the aspects and focus on what I could do to change that and make myself feel better and give myself some meaning.
I have used yoga and running to feel completely confident in my body to give me the energy to attack the day and to prepare for ski season where I want to be able to perform at a high standard. The discipline it takes to make yourself go for an 8 mile run when its blowing a gale and you could easily just sit inside and read with unlimited coffee or tea proves useful for all aspects of life. A big goal of mine now is to run 100 miles possibly next year? We will see.
I have put time in to setting up a coffee shop in my local town to help me learn all about setting up a small business which will help me in future jobs and endeavours of my own.
I am learning French as I am going to work in France it will be an obvious advantage to speak French as opposed to just English.
I also like to complete one or two daily chores to help out in the house and keep my discipline and show gratitude.
I am also writing this blog which helps me channel my thoughts and keeps me focused and is a sort of therapy to release all of this information I usually to keep to myself.
So there we go. The grass is always greener on the otherside… Unless you give your full attention to your own lawn and work on how to make your grass grow lush and green.
Keep your eyes on the prize!
]]>So the story starts only 5 years ago. In that 5 years I have travelled to 48 countries. I have worked as a camp counsellor in the United States, I've been a ski rep/barman in a little ski village in France, and for the last 3 years I have been working for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines for 3 years as a sports staff.
It all started near the end of my university degree. I was sitting at my laptop procrastinating as per usual when I had a great idea. I was going to join the camp america program and work the summer as a camp counselor. I never really travelled before the age of 21 and never really thought much about it, apart from a couple of family holidays when I was younger and 2 very cultural lads holiday to Magaluf that was about as travelled as I got. I rarely even got the opportunity to walk around a city, because I live on an island off an island in North Wales. To put it in leighmans terms I had to drive 45 minutes to get a pizza hut. I even lived at home during my 3 years at university,
So I'm there sitting at my laptop with this idea. I googled Camp America, I clicked on the link for the their website had a quick browse around the site. I remember I started filling out the application. I remember thinking to myself if I just fill out the application then I will have to commit to it.
It was as simple as that I had an urge to do something and followed through with it. I didn't think about the fact I didn't have a lot of money, actually when I say not a lot I mean not enough to pay for the whole cost for the process but I used the money I had to put down the first payment and from there I had no choice but to find the money. If not then I lost the money I put down and knowing that I committed to something that I didn't give my all to would have damaged my self confidence.
The next couple of days I got a credit card which had a limit of 900 pounds sterling. With that then I could fully pay off the balance with Camp America and because I had a job as a pot washer at the time alongside being a part time lifeguard at the local leisure centre and the occasional delivery driver shift for my school friend Quiang and his families Chinese restaurant I could pay the balance off pretty quickly. But in reality I carried on being materialistic and immature with my money and spent it all on clothes and supplements to get swole for the summer!
So the moral of the story? If you have an idea. If there is something you've been wanting to do. YOU have to make that first step. Once you make that first step you are then "cuffed-in" to achieving your dreams.
]]>I wouldn’t be here today in a warm house with running water, electricity and heating, with wi-fi to broadcast my internal thoughts to potentially billions of people if it was not for adventure. Adventure is discovering new things by venturing where we have not been before and gaining new knowledge and wisdom. It is what has driven the human species from cave dwellers to internet bloggers.
When most people think of adventure they imagine the most amazing feats of human capabilities such as summiting Mount Everest, an expedition to the North Pole or hiking through the amazonian jungle in the hunt for the tribes that modern day has eluded.
"Adventure" in its official definition is "An unusual and exciting typically hazardous experience or activity”.
An adventure can be anything where you push yourself out of your comfort zone. That could be climbing mount everest. It could be public speaking. It could be walking your kids to school instead of driving or it could be something as little as changing your morning routine.
In this day and age we rarely challenge ourselves and avoid risk. We avoid the things we do not know. Adventure is stepping into the unknown with the hope of discovering something new. Adventure is where progress occurs. Progress towards a goal is where we find meaning. Meaning is what gets you out of bed early in the morning to tackle the day ahead. That is why we need Adventure.
When you pursue any adventure, you are putting yourself in control of your life you are making the decisions in order to achieve your goals. When you can rely on yourself, others can then rely on you. This improves all aspects of your life from co-workers trusting and confiding in you more, being a better role model to your children so they have someone to follow and look up to, someone who is constantly chasing their dreams and improving their lives to become a better friend to become a better partner. When you can achieve your goals you are increasing confidence in yourself and others around you which builds stronger bonds between people.
Starting an adventure takes a lot of courage, it takes you out of your comfort zone and pushes your limits. This uncomfortable point is where you have to focus your mind. This is where your doubts will try to stop you, making all of the excuses that can be imagined. If you gain control of your own doubts and just go for something 100% then little unexpected events in your life will not be so dramatic as you have the mental capacity to take on the unexpected challenge.
Continuous adventure broadens the horizons. It is progression for mankind as a whole and for mankind as individuals.
