Here at cuffed-in coffee we decided to set up in our home town of Holyhead as we knew jobs needed to be created. To date we now have 7 employees. 1 of Which has secured a mortgage and is now a homeowner. All this might not have happened had we chose to not start the business.

We noticed the lack of drive and passion for our lovely community in Holyhead. That is why we decided to set up here. To solve the problem of the lack of meaning by pushing our company ethos into the community. Drink Coffee, Seek Adventure and Enjoy Life.

We have hosted a warm space program to help people during the cost of living crisis. We have set up a youth night alongside the youth service program for Anglesey. Giving the young adults of Holyhead a space where they can hang out and be treated like the young Adults they are. We are now also starting introduction to coffee course. Teaching unemployed young people about the coffee industry from roasting, customer service and barista skills.

Entrepreneurship and innovation go hand in hand. When you start a business, you have the opportunity to create something new and disrupt the status quo. We set the business up with the aim to improve our community. We have set up a successful model with Mon CF a local employability centre where they buy local property and renovate to a high standard giving local business that head start with a professional looking property.

We cannot say that directly we have contributed to more business' deciding to set up in Holyhead but there has been and increase in the entrepreneurial spirit in Holyhead. I as the founder have done multiple school talks and am in the process of becoming a Big Ideas role model with the welsh government.
