Mobile Catering

Cuffed in Coffee is a business venture that I started just over a year ago now. In this post I want to explain why I decided to venture into the difficult industry that is mobile catering. Following these posts I will take you through my process of how I got to where I am today.

First of all who doesn’t want to be their own boss. That was my primary driving factor for starting this business. Although I have been very fortunate with my employment I always had at the back of mind the urge to work for myself. When you are getting paid to stand on glaciers in Alaska, snorkel in the reefs of the untamed south pacific and chill on the beaches of the Caribbean and you still feel that there is something missing you know you’re not cut out for employment.

I do love to travel, I cannot hide the fact. I chose mobile catering as this gives you that freedom of essentially taking your business wherever you fancy. Obviously you do need to have jobs lined up or speak to local councils to get approval to trade but essentially you are free to do business where you please.

The flexibility of what you can sell is also huge. So whatever food or drink you are passionate about you can sell that which helps to increase customer confidence as they can feel your passion in the products.

If you’re into your festivals you can get a pitch in the festival and then in the evenings you are free to enjoy your time in a beautiful location and enjoying what makes you happy. After a successful day this will feel that much better.

There are many difficulties on the road though which is what I am going to share with you in future posts.

If you are interested in mobile catering do not be afraid to hit that contact page and shoot some questions at me.

I am not claiming to be a professional. I am just sharing my experience and where I made my mistakes and where I get those moments of pride.

Chase your dreams and do not settle.
