What started in a converted horsebox quickly grew into something more. In 2020, Cuffed-in opened The Hive, its first coffee shop in Holyhead — just as the world was about to change.
Through lockdowns, takeaway coffees and plenty of uncertainty, The Hive became a home for Cuffed-in and the support from the local community kept things moving forward. By 2021, the original horsebox had made way for The Container, marking the next step in a growing Cuffed-in story.
In 2022, Cuffed-in took another big step and began roasting its own coffee here on Anglesey.
Bringing the roasting in-house meant having more control over the coffee we served every day — from developing our House Blend and Decaf to supplying freshly roasted coffee beyond our own cafés.
It was the beginning of Cuffed-in growing from a local coffee shop into the coffee brand it is today.
ROOTED IN ANGLESEY
As Cuffed-in grew, so did its connection with the island. From local events and community projects to challenges and adventures across Anglesey, the people and places around us have helped shape what Cuffed-in is today.
Today, Cuffed-in is four locations across Anglesey, a growing roastery and a team of people who believe good coffee should be part of getting out there and doing more.
From early starts and everyday coffee stops to events, challenges and adventures across the island and beyond, Cuffed-in has grown — but the idea at the heart of it remains pretty simple: great coffee, good people and a strong connection to the place we call home.
